Position Summary: Junior Construction Project Manager
The Junior Construction Project Manager is responsible for assisting with facilities projects from planning to completion. This role focuses on supporting new construction, renovations, expansions, and equipment installations while helping to maintain project timelines and budgets. The Junior Construction Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support project scopes and objectives and gain experience in project management.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of facilities projects, including construction, renovations, expansions, and equipment installations, ensuring alignment with established timelines and budgets.
• Support the definition of project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Help develop project schedules and timelines, monitoring resources and dependencies to ensure smooth project flow.
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
• Track project progress, milestones, and expenditures, assisting in regular updates to senior management and project sponsors.
• Identify potential project risks with guidance and support the implementation of mitigation strategies as needed.
• Prepare and assist in generating project reports to document key metrics, progress, and any issues encountered.
Intermediator between Corporate/US Region and Vendor:
• Coordinate and schedule meetings or calls between stakeholders to discuss project updates and any necessary adjustments.
• Ensure that vendor deliverables align with corporate and regional standards in terms of quality and compliance.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including availability for meetings with Asia-based teams during night hours.
Post-Project Evaluation and Improvement:
• Participate in post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and lessons learned.
• Document insights and contribute to best practices for future projects under the guidance of senior team members.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred.
"NOTICE" Experience:
• Up to 3 years of experience in construction or facilities project management.
• Must be fluent in Mandarin or Taiwanese; candidates without language proficiency will not be considered.
• Willingness to participate in meetings with Asia-based employees, including night hours.
Skills and Competencies:
• Basic project management skills with exposure to project scheduling, budgeting, and tracking.
• Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on supporting project deadlines and objectives.
Working Conditions
This role may require occasional travel and flexible hours, including night meetings, to meet project demands.
